Linde says working on sale of gas production business in Russia

HOUSTON, US, Mar 7 (PRIME) -- German engineering company Linde is working on the sale of its gas production business in Russia and has notified the Russian authorities about the decision to stop local operations, CEO Sanjiv Lamba told PRIME on the sidelines of the CERAWeek energy conference late on Monday.

“It is correct. Now they plan to initiate a claim in the court against us… We have a gas business in Russia, which we try to sell off, but the local court has prohibited against the action” he said.

Lamba also said that Linde has stopped participation in projects in Russia because of Western sanctions and does not plan to resume operations in the foreseeable future.
